Punch Card is a blog about software development. The title is a homage to the punch card or also known as punched card which was one of the first and most straightforward ways to persist digital information. Straightforward should also be the way of developing of software, but in reality it is quite often a bumpy road. Our blog gives little hints, tutorials or small how-to instructions. Often, there is a bunch of people out there who face the same problem, so let’s write the insights down !

The blog is run by Christian Tinnefeld and Martin Grund, two PhD candidates in the field of main-memory database technology at the Hasso Plattner Institute at the University of Potsdam, Germany. Enjoy !

Hey, guys. I am an artist looking into representing current computer data (mp3s, movies, etc.) in punched cards. Any help on how to do this would be appreciated. Thanks!
